Dr. Ken Decker is a partner at Pure Wellness in Smyrna, with additional hours in Middletown. A University of Delaware graduate, he is licensed in Delaware and certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.

Your first appointment runs 60 to 90 minutes, and the adjustment is the last thing that happens, not the first. Ken starts with your history — what happened, when, what makes it worse, what you have already tried — then screens your posture, measures range of motion rather than estimating it, and examines the joints and soft tissue around the area you are pointing at.

You get told what was found before anything is treated. If you are a chiropractic case and you want to be adjusted the same day, that happens at the first visit. A full verbal report of findings comes at the follow-up, when there has been time to look at everything properly.

Ken adjusts using Diversified, Gonstead, Cox Flexion-Distraction, Activator Methods, and the choice is made from the exam rather than from habit.
